I have no batteries for the camera so you can not put photos of processes and nothing so far xD
deveras comply with my finished work
take the opportunity to make the progress analizis
helmets
now I have 5 helmets, of which the first and the last 3 I did the second and another one we did together with a friend here. (pictured, from left to right are as follows: second, fourth, third, quarter of G (my friend), first and last)
in summary say as I get to do the first, led and a few years working in coats of mail, after finishing my first in February 2004, within that period there was little progress is made of sheet metal work and stuff. I once made a bony shell of tin (although I'd rather not talk about it xDD) had made 2 rare mutations among laborers and katars (tin too) and had begun a coat of scales (guess that also xD)
my notions of assembly plants at that time were not so bad, a little wiser, but I did the stump of dish. something I could get more or less in July. with it and there was no impediment so I went out to get the rest of the materials (which basically meant the steel plate) I bought a stainless steel 0.5 mm thick (do not kill me for heresy! xD, for that time no I knew nothing)
good, between cut pieces, dishes and go to the beach and blah, blah, blah the result, after several weeks maybe a month or more was something like:
(I could not find a more explanatory picture xD but there is note as well) this time
also buy aluminum wire of 2 mm to make the mesh of the hull.
(yes, like aluminum is not the most appropriate but it was my first helmet and did not think much use in combat and in that case, go for aesthetics rather than functionality)
you notice all the blunders nearly ..... not smooth, and the thousand and one rivet tube rather significant errors .....
in short, the manufacture of this helmet as an avatar of the "trial and error"
xDD But as it looks good, is comfortable and the leather support and stay in pretty good too. had its debut in the medieval festival parade in November 2006 and the world was beautiful.
The second quarter was born the first time we put a truss with G, we use what was left of my stainless steel and other model we tested hull, plus a feature
There in the picture looks like pretty well, stains that have are working with hot mix, though, and note as a flat lot better, what's down there this is my Coif, he sneaks into the picture: P
the suspension of this quarter I also liked a lot, I think it the best of the 3 helmets that have: P
although I have yet to put a nose or something ..... fome this as well just seems xDD extra helmet, as well as the typical French soldier is put on the walls and killed in the siege xD. The following
no photos alone, but a couple xDD process, as stylish has is that it is only 2 panels, it is still my favorite (the G in case tdo)
there is the process .... line and tip the band, forged in the red and everything else on the tip of the anvil of G, I think it's the work of that but I enorgullesco: P and it was fun xDD.
I left and G on the right. from now on all steel helmets became 1 mm. Both helmets
did following the steel to the rest of G, and were made quite fast, with these I started to cona this action for the rivets was heard before and everything else besides
a new revolution The plates are not riveted to the blades, but it rather lkas are enclosed within plates and other plates that are riveted to these under the plates as well as a sandwish .... xD as well as the Viking helmet found in gjermundbu: P
that greatly reduced the time to save in the amount of r
emaches (we had nothing to pierce, to each rivet was a tremendous bound the time so I also dropped tremendously) and more or less in a week and some are finished with these 2: (even had pictures of those xD but looks alone explanation) I can not say they have put way too detailed, especially the left, but one of these days I'll give you a day of love, I'll spend a good sanded and polished and give you the suspension and everything is more beautiful xD
past these 2 helmets started with something else it would take time and improve the quality of all the helmets below. I started buying pre-cut strips, 4 inches x 1 meter, with two of them will hit me for bands 2 helmets. I was one day a steel importer and bought about 20, I think xD and just "went on vacation" I started working.
measures, scored, punzeé, grinding, drilling, enlarges each of the 320 holes 8 helmets that I decided to build xDDDD (for stupid to want to build 8 of an xDD) so well, in about another week and a half and had reinforced the structure of 8 .... was just getting to work.
so that then, one day, I was eager to work, so I went to work, use the last thing I had to steel panels and had to go buy more, I also took some brass scraps that would have bought one too and several days of work and sweat
, metal and leather was finally finished this: helmet is my best so far, and although it was Thin em tight, with the suspension and everything I feel xDD wearin powerful
flattening is the best so far, is the first Viking to display full details of the first bronze, Pimero face plates (and the detail of the bronze in this left me to do more happy, plus cost of everything and then bend it riveting on steel)
are still not free of faults, I have yet to clinch a little avitar the dome to make them look separate panels rods, a plate the neck and probably will change the display by one with relief: P and I tried to do individually.
the latest, this helmet was made in the same way as the previous two, except for a small difference for a measurement error of the holes (repeated at 7 helmets xD) I had to rivet the panels bands at the bottom (the horizontal band) and noticeable
error! greatly facilitated me to fix the panels before riveting the sheets inside and also dropped a lot of the time I would have delayed ...
is so noticeable when those things happen .... xDD
and I think that is all .... if I'm missing something and I apologize Porlan
editare faults xD
spelling and send a greeting again (as I did in your blog xD) to Axil , the personal shield, and your blog was what inspired me to make it mine.
greetings to all those who can spend
and Id with well
Adios
